Welcome to the Marriage Matters Program Site. Marriage Matters is designed to help people of all ages and stages of life learn skills that help them develop healthy relationships. It is a program of the Circle of Care Center for Families located in Valley, Alabama. We deliver various curriculum in a wide range of environments. All curriculum utilize the NERMEN principles to teach the specific skills, attitudes, and actions needed to strengthen relationships. Each class is tailored for it’s specific audience including but not limited to age and relationship status. ALL CLASSES ARE FREE! Most classes include a light meal or snack. You can register for a class today by clicking here. You can also contact us by clicking here or calling the Circle of Care Center for Families at (334)768-4091 and asking to speak with someone from the marriage department. We would love to answer any questions you may have as well as facilitate a class for your class, group, church, or organization.
The Circle of Care Center for Families is a non-profit, private organization helping East Alabama and West Georgia families since 1996 by providing a variety of community services. We began offering marriage education in 2007 as part of The Alabama Healthy Marriage and Relationship Education Initiative through a partnership with Auburn University and the Children’s Trust Fund.
The Alabama Healthy Marriage & Relationship Education Initiative, or “AHMREI”, (former name, Alabama Community Healthy Marriage Initiative, or “ACHMI”) is funded by a 5-year grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Family Assistance. It is a partnership between Auburn University, Family Resource Centers, Mental Health Centers, and many other agencies and individuals at the State and Local levels who have joined together to build and sustain healthy relationships and stable marriages throughout Alabama.
